Prism Counseling LLC is currently seeking to contract with state-licensed counselors on a part-time basis to add to our growing practice in Phoenix, Arizona. It is our mission to bring the highest quality of pastoral and professional counseling to those we serve. We specialize in individual, couples, and family counseling at our offices in Peoria and Phoenix, Arizona.

    State-Licensed Therapist  - LGBTQ Focus (Contract)

    Job Description
    Prism Counseling is currently seeking part-time therapists who specialize in working with LGBQ and Trans individuals, couples, and their families. If you are interested in building your own private practice under the banner of an LGBTQ-owned and focused practice, you are encouraged to apply. Special consideration will be given to those who have additional training in spiritual integration.

    Qualifications:
    • Trained: Education at the Master's or Doctoral level from a regionally or nationally accredited seminary or university.
    • Credentialed: Fully state-licensed counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD). We do not offer supervision. Please do not apply if you are not fully licensed (no LAC, LAMFT, or LMSW candidates). Special consideration will be given to therapists who have additional training in spiritual integration (or are interested in receiving training in this area).
    • Entrepreneurial: Have the desire to promote their services to the community and build a private-pay client base.

    ​Features:
    • Work under an LGBTQ-owned and LGBQT focused practice.
    • Administrative and front office support.
    • Receive referrals through the practice and from local groups, non-profits, churches, and communities.
    • Guidance and consultation on growing your client base.
    • Staff meetings for support, consultation, and training.

    Responsibilities:
    • Provide psychotherapy to clients in-person at our office in Phoenix and/or online through our secure telehealth platform.
    • Learn and utilize the practice management software.
    • Keep client records, and submit those through the practice management software.
    • Provide additional administrative functions of billing and networking.
    • Carry liability insurance.
    • Support the mission, goals, and objectives of the practice.
    • Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
    • Counselors work as 1099 associates. There are no guarantees regarding hours or income.

    Only local applicants in the Phoenix Metro area will be considered. We cannot offer internships or clinical supervision for state licensure. We are a private-pay practice and do not plan on taking insurance at this time. This position is for those who are interested in building their own cash-based private practice while under the mission of a distinctly LGBTQ-owned and focused organization.
