Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction is a type of pastoral counseling that is not necessarily focused on crisis or intervention, but centered on being present with those who want to deepen their own spiritual growth and development. Spiritual Directors (also known as Spiritual Companions) sit with clients (called directees) and listen intently as directees share about their encounters with God and the development of their personal spirituality. The Spiritual Director may ask questions that are intended to assist the directee in their reflection and spiritual growth.
Spiritual direction can be a powerful resource for those processing or deconstructing their faith, or those wanting to explore their spirituality and relationship with God on a deeper level. Several of our staff provide spiritual direction and are equipped and ready to walk with you on your spiritual journey, wherever it takes you. |
"Spiritual direction aims to help us experience the eternal and the infinite aspects of our true nature through the wise, experienced and compassionate company of another human being." —Spiritual Directors International (SDI)
