Therapist (Part-Time) - Contract
Prism Counseling & Coaching is an affirming pastoral counseling group practice with locations in Peoria and Phoenix, Arizona. Our mission is to meet every person where they're at and help them discover strength for today and hope for tomorrow. We seek to inspire, equip, enrich, and empower each individual, couple, and family during any season they are at in their life journey.
Education and Credentials: All candidates must hold a Master's or Doctorate from a university or seminary fully accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Required Arizona state license: Licensed Psychologist, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT. Please do not apply if you are not fully licensed (no LAC, LAMFT, or LMSW candidates). If you practice as a pastoral counselor, you must hold ordination from a legally recognized church and have ethical oversight from a national organization (such as ACPE or AACC).
Counseling: Provide counseling to clients in-person at our offices in Peoria and/or Phoenix, as well as via Telehealth. Compensation for therapy is based on income received and paid out twice monthly. Candidate must have a niche(s) (children, couples, trauma, family, etc.) and be able to provide counseling that is spiritually-integrated (or willing to receive further training in this area). Most of our clients either identify as Christian (from various denominations) or spiritual-but-not religious, so candidate must be comfortable working with clients from various faith traditions and backgrounds. Candidate must be LGBTQ+ affirming in their approach and have experience working with this population.
Entrepreneurial: Candidate must be willing to market themselves to grow their referral base and recognition in the community. Prism provides a steady stream of referrals as well. Candidate must be independent, driven, and collaborative. Candidate will be a 1099 independent contractor.
We provide:
Only local applicants in the Phoenix Metro area will be considered. We cannot offer internships or clinical supervision for state licensure. We are a private-pay practice and do not plan on taking insurance at this time. This position is for those who are interested in building their own cash-based private practice while under the mission of a distinctly Faith-Based LGBTQ-owned and affirming organization.
