Do you have a teen you are struggling to connect with?
Do you have trouble getting them to open up?
Even though we were all teenagers at one time, it’s easy to forget the difficulties of adolescence. Many teens and young adults feel overwhelmed with things that we as adults may not understand or think is a big deal.
This is because the adolescent brain is still developing (and is not fully formed until 25). As a result, teens and young adults experience more anxiety than adults, and even more than younger children. Things are even more difficult if a child identifies as LGBTQ+ and doesn't feel understood by family or peers.
We want to help create a place where your teen can feel comfortable opening up without feeling judged. Our counselors are comfortable discussing difficult topics and have a passion to help young people through the angst, struggle, and confusion that often comes with adolescence.
