Hi, my name is Kristine Nutt and I am a Master's-Level Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-18419). I have a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UNC-Asheville. I specialize in helping those struggling with emotional, relational, and mental health issues.
I have years of experience working with clients and their families dealing with addiction, substance use, and complex mental health issues including mood disorders, trauma, and dissociative disorders. My passion is helping anyone who wants help, and I love working with both the individual and their family.
Background and Experience
I began my career as the Director of a day treatment program for offenders, where I developed an implemented treatment programs for substance use, mental health, domestic violence, and sex offenders. I was a member of a National Disaster Response Team for FEMA, as part of a pilot project to provide therapeutic services to individuals experiencing substance use and mental health issues following natural disasters.
I served as an examiner for the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board, and have presented at local, state, and national conferences. I have had the opportunity to work for some of the most highly respected treatment programs in the country and have years of experience working with clients and their families dealing with complex issues and situations.
