Spiritual & Emotional Care for EmployeesPrismCare™ is our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) designed for organizations, schools, churches, ministries, and nonprofits that want to offer spiritually-integrated care for their employees. We provide faith-based counseling, coaching, assessments, and wellness resources that honor each person’s values — all while complementing your existing employee benefits.
Employees with access to spiritual care report higher well-being, motivation, and engagement. Springer Journal of Religion & Health, 2025→ Why PrismCare™ EAP?Many organizations already offer EAPs focused on short-term behavioral health counseling. But few provide access to trained spiritual care providers—professionals who can walk with employees through spiritual struggles that impact meaning, purpose, and direction in life, even when those struggles aren’t clinical. Others may want support for their marriage, family, or personal and professional challenges in a way that fully incorporates and honors their faith, rather than setting it aside.

What if we already have an eap?
This doesn't have to be a replacement for your current EAP—it can be an extra layer of care. Not every issue or problem that people face is strictly clinical. Many are dealing with normal but difficult reactions to work and life situations and simply want spiritually-integrated care and guidance for that process.
Many teams already offer EAPs focused on short-term behavioral health counseling, but few provide access to trained spiritual care providers who can walk with employees through struggles like grief, burnout, shame, doubt, or life direction—challenges that affect work, relationships, and morale, even if they aren't clinical. When people feel spiritually supported, they show up differently. They’re more grounded, focused, and resilient.

Can't they just talk to their pastor at church?
Most pastors don't offer counseling to their congregants and many aren't training in counseling, and even if they do, they only offer brief visits before referring out to a professional. Also, not everyone may have a church home, and even those who do may prefer to process certain issues with a professional outside their workplace and congregation. Our providers offer that space by providing confidential, faith-integrated support for personal, relational, and vocational concerns.
What is a pastoral counselor?
Pastoral counselors are trained professionals who integrate psychological insight with spiritual wisdom to provide client-centered support for emotional, relational, and faith-related concerns. Sessions are conversational and relational, often feeling more like talking with a trusted guide than attending clinical psychotherapy. They are ordained ministers with graduate-level education (Master’s or higher), and either a state license or national certification in pastoral counseling and spiritual care.
Pastoral counseling is holistic, inclusive, and deeply respectful of each person’s beliefs—whether they are deeply committed to their faith, questioning, spiritual but not religious, or not spiritual at all. It offers a safe space to explore life’s challenges, values, and personal growth without pressure or judgment. Many clients choose pastoral counselors for their warmth, depth, and ability to meet them where they are.

Are sessions confidential?
Yes. All counseling and coaching sessions through PrismCare™ are strictly confidential. We follow HIPAA standards for privacy and confidentiality and use a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record (EHR) to schedule and conduct sessions. What this means is that what’s shared in a session stays between the employee and the counselor. Our commitment is to provide a safe, private space for employees to receive the care they need without fear that their personal information will ever be disclosed.
Employers do NOT receive access to session notes or personal details. Instead, they only receive general usage reports, such as the number of employees who used sessions in a given period. This ensures complete privacy for employees while still giving organizations the information they need to see that the benefit is being utilized.
